MULTI CULTURAL The international tour exhibition "Promoting Peace through Calligraphy and Tea" jointly held by Li Guodong, a famous calligrapher and UN Peace Ambassador, and Laodaohao, a famous tea brand in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China, was launched on February 23, 2023, coinciding with the United Nations Multi-Cultural Festival. The festival was hosted by the United Nations Women's Association. Upon entering the exhibition hall, the tables on both sides of the hall were filled with Laodaohao tea packages with Li Guodong's calligraphy printed on them. Some experts in calligraphy wrote the character "Fu" (blessing) on the spot. The proceeds from the on-site charity sale of tea with calligraphy themes were donated entirely to the United Nations Women's Association to support its children's charity projects.

Mr. Li Guodong's calligraphy has been exhibited in the United Nations 117 times, and this time is the 118th. Mr. Li has been committed to promoting peace and advocating the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations through ancient Chinese traditional calligraphy art. Laodaohao tea has participated in a series of exhibitions in the United States and New York. This time, the chairman of Laodaohao, Li Manyun, was deeply influenced by the calligrapher Mr. Li Guodong, who is also from Yunnan. They joined hands to cleverly integrate the two Chinese cultural themes of calligraphy and tea and held this exhibition. The exhibition was hosted by the United Nations NGO New York UCT Cultural Development Center and presided over by Ms. Li Yiling, the chairperson of the center. The wife of the Niger Ambassador, the wife of the Nigerian Permanent Mission to the United Nations Ambassador, the secretary of the United Nations Women's Association, and other VIP guests of the United Nations attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition to cut the ribbon.

These teas are provided by the famous tea brand Laodaohao from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China. This time, Laodaohao teamed up with the famous calligrapher Professor Li Guodong to jointly produce calligraphy tea and showcase it at the United Nations Multi-Cultural Festival. It not only continues Professor Li's advocacy of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Chinese calligraphy and tea culture, but also conveys a health concept and a good wish for protecting physical health - hoping that more people will develop the habit of drinking and appreciating tea for health care. In addition, Laodaohao and Professor Li Guodong chose to print calligraphy characters such as "Spring," "Summer," "Autumn," and "Winter" on the tea cakes, also hoping to raise awareness of climate change. Nowadays, global warming has gradually begun to threaten human health and ecological balance. Laodaohao and Professor Li Guodong jointly hope to call on all human beings to protect the earth and strive forward towards a more sustainable society. This exhibition highlights the third and thirteenth Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, namely good health and well-being, and climate action.

On the day of the Multi-Cultural Festival, artists from New York, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and other countries performed orchestral music, dance, instrumental music, and other works, also highlighting the seventeenth goal of hoping that humans, regardless of race or ethnicity, can form "partnerships to achieve the goals."
